Poinsettia tutorial

Hello everyone!

Did you remember my Glove card last time I've shown you? Today I'm going to explain you how to make this easy but very attractive Poinsettia Flowers which is at about 7 cm, suitable for any Christmas project.

First of all I made my templates which look like those shown on the picture. You also can use Rosy Owl Poinsettia flower set.
The larger five-petals template is 8 cm diameter circumference and smaller one is 6.5 cm.

Next, I cut two larger and one small petals out of red regular foamiran.

After that started shaping them in the way shown:

 Heated every each petal...

and pushed it with the middle size ball from the Flower Making Tools.

After shaping all of them five, I gently twisted their edges like that:

My petals got those shape at the front side,

and that, at the back side.

I assembled the petals overlapping, started from the biggest one and finished with the smallest one at the top :

It was time to attach the stamens. I chose Heard Head Olive Stamens (at about 7 double head in a bunch) which I folded with a piece of florist wire.

I dyed them with bright green oil pastel and infixed them in the previously punched a little hole in the middle of the flower.

Cut the stamens edges, glued them at the back side of the flower, then my flower was completed.

There are some more of my beautiful Red Poinsettias!

Have a lovely week for all of you!

Elena xxx

Christmas Glove Card

Hello everyone!

Time before Christmas is time for feverish preparation for all kinds of handmade cards and presents. I've had so mush fun playing with anything Christmassy, glittering and sparkling stuff around me.

Today I'm going to show you one of my favourite shapes of a Christmas card, a Glove shape!

For the base of my glove-shaped card I used PION design, Long time ago in Bethlehem, which is ON SALE,  Holy Scripture paper sheet stitched with brown, masked with Viva Decor 3D Ice Effect White, sprinkled with Viva Decor Ice Crystals .

I embellished my card with a Handmade Foamiran Poinsettia Flower made out of Poppy Red Foamiran. For the Holly leaves I used Sea Green Foamiran.
Next time I'm going to show you step-by-step tutorial, how easy you can make this stunning Poinsettia flower!

I also add some JoyCraft Berries- Natural, White and Red  Wax Cord, a cut of Lace Elenor, Miniature Larch Cones Shabby white and my favourite Vintage Seam Bindings. Accomplished my Glove card with a little wooden embossed  sentiment ''JOY'' on the right bottom corner.

Wishing all of you a happy week!

Hugs,
Elena xxx

Boy with a snow ball

Hi my friends!

There is my New Christmas card!
To make it I've used one of my favorite scrapbook paper, Lemon Craft, Christmas Greetings. I love it! There is everything what you need to make beautiful festive cards!

In the left upper corner you can see two red poinsettia flowers made out of genuine foamiran, sprinkled with Eiskristall from Viva Decor, which you can buy onlain in https://www.crafteezee.co.uk/
They are gorgeous, aren't they?

For the topper I used that cute ''Boy with a snow ball'' image, which you can find in the set.

I embellished my card with some chipboard snowflakes, lots of green and red frosty berries and golden stars.

Hope you like my last project!
Thank you for coming around!

Have a lovely week!

Frosted Poinsettia Tags

Hello!

It's a Tuesday today, which means It's my turn to show you something new :-). So today I'm going to display here something icy, frosty and glossy ... brrrrrr :-).

Lets, the festive spirit conquers our world!

This time my creations are those sparkly tags, decorated with two handmade Foamiran Poinsettias - the most popular flowers for this winter season :-). They were made out of genuine white foamiran and colored with oil pastels. For the centre I stuck some plastic and glitter stamens.

For the base of my tags I used Maja Design Denim & Friends - Streetwear scrapbook paper. It concurred perfectly to my project, although it's not from Christmas collection.

To emphasize the frosty view of my tags I applied  Viva Decor 3D Snow Paint , Viva Decor Ice Effect Transparent Paste and 3D Balls Large&Medium.

The snowflake chipboards were beautiful but not sparkly enough so some Druzy Sparkles embellishments were made them look shinier.

Adding some Natural Moss and Sisal underline the beauty of my flowers. Natural materials always take place in my projects! I love combine them with artificial flowers, laser cut chipboards and any other scrapbook parts.

Without laces and ribbons my tags shouldn't be as beautiful as there are now, so I used lace Elenor, a Vintage Seam Binding White and a Wax Cord Dark Brown....

....and all those was sprinkled with a lot of glitter :-)

Have a happy second week of November everyone :-)! See you soon!

Hugs,

Elena xx
